Today we buried my husbands grandmother. I have to say this was probably one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I feel like I had so much more to learn from her. She was the most saintly person I have ever known. As we sat with the preacher last night telling stories we realized she was the one who taught us all to pray. I remember her telling me to "ask Jesus only once for a blessing and then thank him for it every night after." She told me that thanking him for a blessing even before you received it showed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and that even though blessings didn't always come in our time if at all, a faithful servant had a thankful heart. When I needed prayer she was the one I called, for she had the closest relationship with the Lord of anybody I knew. Nanny Lucy...you will be missed.

Omigosh...I am sooo sorry to hear that. We had to bury my dh's grandmother back in Sept. she would have been 90 in March. She was a wonderful person and had great faith as well. She is dearly missed as I know yours is. HUGS, cherry

I am saddened by the news, she lives in Spirit, and in your Family's faith...which sounds like it is stronger than ever. I know this has been a hard time for you, with the shop, the kids and this hard departure, may peace be with you. Love you, Brandee

Paula,

Our pastor gave a wonderful sermon about death and how even though we have hope that our loved ones are going to a better place without pain it is only natural to cry and want to see them again. Death is a very ugly horrible experience and it was not the way God intended it to be when he created Adam and Eve in the garden. We have been studying John chapter 11 where Jesus wept for Lazarus.

Your heart aches I ‘m sure she sounds very special, we have been praying for you and your family.

Miss you,
Amy
