In Need of Some Inspiration....

I am working on decorating a home for someone and have been looking around for something inspiring that I might have pushed in the back of my head somewhere. It is hard when you don't know the person and they really aren't sure what style they want . Not to mention my client's husband told her that their home would "never feel cozy because it is too big." ( it is roughly 10,000 sq.ft.) Yes that is 4 zeros after that 1. So I am up for quite a challenge, thank goodness we are taking this "little" project one room at a time. My client does like the old mixed with the new, and she seems to like arcitechtual pieces as well so I found these pics of my own home and how I incorporated them throughout. I hung the ceiling tin "as is" like a peice of art, in the foyer I created an entry table using old brackets and a wooden top, and the window treatment in my breakfast nook is hung by old door knobs in my favorite finish to which I have no name, it's not rust and not bronze, shall we call it brust? Anyway let me know what you think. Paula

Oh Paula!! You and I must be blog sisters. I could just move right into your house and nest forever. I love your creative style. Dont you just love turning one old thing into something new and stunning. Im always on the lookout for things I can spruce up and add too. If it has rust or old paint bring it on.. I love that look too. Not country.. but "french country" mixed with modern mixed with my southern style. Wow Im a mixed up kinda gal. I like it though... Your house is to die for. Love the pictures and thanks for sharing your ideas. Come to think of it, I do have some old doorknobs... Take care, Susie

Hi Paula,
Pleased to meet you, thank you for stopping in to visit me. And your comment about us having so much in common, well let's just say "great minds think alike" how does that sound? HA-thank you very much for coming over. Your blog is very lovely, and I too will be back to visit.
Hugs,
Rose

Thanks Paula. I needed that. I really dont want to put her name out there because that would be hateful. She knows who she is and why she is acting so ugly. I only wish I knew why. Just be careful.. She was on my special friends list and I had to take her off. Special freinds dont treat each other like that. My husband thinks it's so silly but he just doesnt get it.Thanks for being a true friend, Susie
